Blessing All Beings

In a peace-filled society blessing was the root, twig, leaf and branch of cultures around the world. Blessing was the way to keep balance, to let Life In and as a constant reminder of Her cycles: this continual give-away and feeding to and of the Holy; moving towards and opening up to the vastness of Life.

Many peoples have had a particular language for communing with Spirit(s) – the Holy. In Guatemala the people had a whole language different to their everyday words to address the Holy, speaking beauty as a blessing to all of Life. The ceremonies were not for protection but for blessing the day, blessing Life, giving thanks.

In Tuva also visiting the Shaman (Xam) or Lama was not so much about protection. It was for blessing. Blessing ceremonies are important: bringing the gifts and grace of the Spirits and Ancestors to the people to help them in their daily life. There were also blessing practices or small rituals that the everyday folk held to support their families and their relatives who included their animals and the expanse of land in which they lived or camped. Most of these rituals share roots with practices from other lands.

In these days together, we will learn many ways to bless life – to bless trees, rocks, the land and skies, the ocean, the river, and even humans.

We will practise different ways of using our voices, in sound, song and eloquence, opening to what comes from Spirit, from Life and what comes from our own will and desire. We will be creating with hands and voice, crafting, drumming and rattling and blessing one another, the Land, Waters, Fire, and Skies.

We are doing all this in the hope that all participants can return home inspired and changed and prepared to bring more blessing out into this world that so needs us to BLESS.

This workshop is for all genders and spiritual paths. Please, no recreational drugs, ethneogens or alcohol. This is not a therapy workshop.

Venue: Lamorna, Cornwall. Travel directions will follow. Dates: 21 – 25 February 2026. Arrival Saturday from 4 pm. We begin 6 pm. Departure after lunch on Wednesday. Cost: Choose the amount £440 – £490 – £540 according to your situation. All meals, linens and lodgings in 2-4 person rooms included.
